JUNE 3, 2009  New Park Cemetery, Inc. is proud to announce the completion of the new automated exit gate and fence work for the Goodwill Rd. project of our cemetery expansion. This gate is designed to only allow vehicles to EXIT the cemetery. You will not be able to enter the cemetery from the Goodwill Rd access point. We continue to improve the cemetery and enhance its many beautiful featues for today and for the future. We will be adding safety signs and other needing help signs to help those visiting the cemetery are aware of this new exit and its location within the cemetery grounds.

April 7, 2009:  New Park Cemetery, Inc. is excited about the starting of its next major development phase within New Park on Horn Lake Rd. Today the timber company started clearing out the trees and overgrowth within the development area of the cemetery. This phase will be our largest and most ambitious project to date. This just coming off our new exit road project. We are planning to develope the next 17+ acres of the cemetery. Our objective is to have our first two new gardens open hopefully within a years time or sooner. These will be approximately 5 acres in total size. The remaining acerage is being cleared and developed for future use witin the cemetery grounds.

March 2009: New Park Cemetery, Inc. is proud to announce the opening of its newest development phase, Goodwill Road Exit. This new exit road is part of our planned cemetery expansion for the New Park Cemetery located at 4536 Horn Lake Rd. This new exit road will be a great relief to those visiting the cemetery and for funeral services trying to exit the cemtery on those busy saturday services. This new exit road is located at the South/East part of the cemetery and leads out onto Goodwill Road, which then exits on Shelby Drive.

We are excited about this phase after many years of working with the City of Memphis planning and developement department and city council for the zoning issues in order  to get this exit road from our property. This phase marks the beginning of our new garden development phase.
