It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Mary Lee Stevens who answered her call on Nov. 1, 2012.

 She worked as our secretary for close to 50 years. Her funeral was held on Nov. 7, 2012 at Greater White Stone Missionary Baptist Church with the burial following in New Park Cemetery.  She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Greater White Stone Missionary Baptist Church for over sixty-five years until her health began to fail. She worked diligently in her church and served as Sunday School secretary for over forty years, a well attending member of the Williams Memorial Bible Class, a member of the Sancturary Choir and Women’s Choir and served as secretary for numerous women’s auxiliaries and church functions.

 She was a proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. Her memories will always be cherished because of her caring, sharing and giving of herself to many.

New Park Cemetery, Inc will be dedicating in her memory a beautiful bronze plaque for our new Columbarium which is called Heaven’s Gate.
